Roo Code Setup Guide

Overview

Roo Code splits the agent into planning, code, and QA roles. Add dabboUno as the OpenAI Compatible provider and all roles share one base URL.

Paste these into the client. Your key auto-fills when signed in.

Step-by-step setup

   Install Roo Code

   Install the Roo Code extension in VSCode and open the panel.

   Open API configuration

   Click the settings icon, then API Configuration.

   Pick OpenAI Compatible

   Set Provider to OpenAI Compatible.

   Fill the connection

   Use these values. The model picker can also populate after the first call.

Gotchas

• !Codebase Indexing > Embedder Provider is separate from chat. Configure the chat provider you want.
• !Roo Code requires native tool calling. A model without it cannot be used, so check the catalog before switching.
